Tampere

The most convenient way of going north from Tampere is by rail. Night train traffic to Kemijärvi resumed on 29 February 2008. The distance between Kemijärvi and Salla is 67 km, which is easy to cover by bus. A direct bus connection from the night train will take you all the way to the Sallatunturi fell (except on Sundays).
