The reindeer has been the trusted travelling companion in Lapland for centuries, whisking the travellers over the fells and across roadless wilderness. On a reindeer safari, you can feel as though you are one with ancient nature. The only sound in the perfect peace and silence is the crunch of reindeer hooves on the snow. With a little luck, you might even spot a capercaillie or a black grouse taking flight from its snow nest to avoid the raito (a line of reindeer).
On a guided reindeer excursion, everyone is given a chance to drive a reindeer sledge. Children can travel safely in the same sledge as their parents. All the reindeers pulling sledges have been carefully trained, and the raito is led by a guide.
